Vasona Lake Kayaking Pass Giveaway!
Each year, the adaptive kayaking events at Vasona Lake enjoy incredible success, providing fantastic opportunities for individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI) to experience the joy of being out on the water. This state-of-the-art accessible resource exists thanks to years of dedicated planning by co-founders Franklin Elieh and Nick Struthers, who collaborated closely with Santa Clara County, Vasona Lake County Park, and LGS Recreation to get the specialized facility built.
Now, you can experience the thrill of the water on your own schedule—for free! To help you make the most of the beautiful summer weather, a limited number of free Kayaking Passes are being given away for use from now all the way through Labor Day (September 6th, 2026). It is the perfect opportunity to grab a friend, get outside, and enjoy everything this incredible facility has to offer.
The Vasona Park location is fully equipped to ensure a smooth, comfortable experience, featuring an on-site Hoyer lift to assist with transfers. The free passes cover a two-person ADA kayak, so you just need to bring a partner along to share the adventure. Friends and family are also welcome to rent separate kayaks at the park to join you out on the lake.
Passes are limited, and the sign-up form must be completed soon. Register to win the passes below!
