NorCal SCI partnering to host Symposium on After Hospital Neurological Rehabilitation

We are partnering with  Neuroworx, & The Motion Project to host our first annual Virtual Symposium on improving outcomes and sharing solutions for outpatient rehabilitation & post hospital rehab/exercise therapy for people with Spinal Cord Injuries. 

Motivated by the lack of any structured rehabilitation and care beyond the inadequate lengths of stays in the vast majority of acute rehab facilities, many individuals and organizations have taken it upon themselves to plug this gaping hole of care and have created some amazing facilities and services that address this need. For the majority of Americans suffering SCIs, the rehabilitation crisis is real and it's impacting the short and long-term outcomes for the newly injured with predictable results: people being discharged from the hospital with insufficient knowledge, resources, and support for adjusting to life post-SCI and many, in turn, ending up with medical complications, inadequate recoveries, and a host of other challenges. 

We are bringing together the key players in outpatient rehabilitation & post hospital rehab/exercise therapy to share their best practices, brainstorm solutions, and address these challenges.
