Roll Into Adventure at Stafford Lake Event 10/30

Ever wondered what it feels like to effortlessly explore rugged park trails that usually feel off-limits? The Sonoma Marin SCI community, led by group leader Lake Kowell, is partnering with Marin County Parks to host "Terrain Together" on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Stafford Lake Park, Area 2.

Attendees will have the chance to experience the Terrain Hopper, an all-terrain mobility device that gives wheelchair users the opportunity to explore areas that might otherwise be difficult to access. Those wishing to use the device can secure a one-hour time slot by visiting the booking page. Reserve your Terrain Hopper HERE.

Alongside outdoor exploration, the gathering features a community BBQ with hamburgers and hot dogs. Fellow community member Nate Elder will also introduce his new business, Boogers BBQ Sauce, offering attendees various flavors to try with lunch while supporting a local entrepreneur.

The event provides a welcoming space for individuals with spinal cord injuries, caregivers, and supporters to connect, socialize, and enjoy the park. Participants are welcome to join the BBQ and social gathering even if they do not reserve a Terrain Hopper slot.
